Brooklyn Man Charged with Murder Following Death of 2-Year-Old

Brooklyn, NY – Latrell Lewis, a 23-year-old male residing at East 68 Street, has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a 2-year-old child in the 63rd Precinct.

On Sunday, police received a 911 call about an unresponsive child at the aforementioned address.

Upon arrival, the 2-year-old male was found unconscious with bruises on his stomach. Emergency Medical Services transported the child to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Medical Examiner determined that the child had sustained trauma to his head and body, ruling the cause of death as homicide. Lewis was arrested on Monday as a result of the ongoing investigation.
