Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – On Saturday, at approximately 10:00 pm, the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a shooting on the 14700 block of Willoughby Road.

Amarnae Smith, a 22-year-old Baltimore resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second adult male victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are in the process of identifying a motive and suspect(s). The police are encouraging anyone with information on this case to contact the Homicide Unit.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
