New Jerseyans Win Small Prizes as Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $67 Million

TRENTON, NJ — Friday’s Mega Millions drawing produced 22 players who matched four of the five white balls, each winning $500. Two of these tickets utilized the Megaplier option, doubling their winnings to $1,000. Additionally, 22,307 other players in New Jersey won a total of $99,528 in smaller prizes ranging from $2 to $400.

The winning numbers for the August 25 drawing were 12, 23, 26, 31, and 38, with a Gold Mega Ball of 02 and a Megaplier Multiplier of 02.

The next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29 at 11:00 pm. All Mega Millions tickets in New Jersey must be purchased by 10:45 pm to be eligible.

A Mega Millions ticket costs $2, and players can opt to add the Megaplier for an additional $1 per play, increasing non-jackpot winnings up to five times.

Mega Millions tickets are available in 46 participating jurisdictions, and drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
