Target Store in Brick Briefly Closed Due to Threat Warning

Brick, NJ — The Target store in Brick Township was temporarily closed today following an unverified threat that was reported to the Brick Township Police Department through a reputable news agency. The threat was later determined to be unfounded.

Chief Forrester of the Brick Township Police Department confirmed that the premises have been declared safe and the store has resumed its regular business hours. The department extended its gratitude to the public for its cooperation during the investigation.

Chief Forrester also acknowledged the support from multiple local agencies including Brick EMS, Brick OEM, Brick Fire Stations 21 & 22, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, and Point Pleasant Beach Police Department in ensuring the area’s safety.
