Argument Leads to Stabbing in Greenwich Village

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Wednesday, August 2, at approximately 2:00 am, a 44-year-old man was stabbed and slashed near 8 Avenue and Greenwich Avenue.

An unidentified individual approached the victim and began arguing before assaulting him.

The assailant stabbed the victim in the abdomen and slashed his buttocks before fleeing southbound on 8 Avenue.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue and is in stable condition.
