Man Killed, Woman Injured in Penn Hills Shooting

Penn Hills, PA -A 50-year-old male was found dead and a 41-year-old female critically injured following a shooting on Thon Drive in Penn Hills. Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was called to assist after County 911 received notification of the incident around 9:30 p.m.

First responders arrived at the 8000 block of Thon Drive to find the female victim with multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The male was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased male was responsible for shooting the female before taking his own life. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.
