Purse Snatching Scooter Bandit Arrested in NYC

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual connected with a robbery.

The incident took place on Sunday, August 20, at approximately 12:05 am in front of 1645 Grand Concourse.

A 37-year-old woman was walking when she was approached by an unidentified man on a two-wheeled vehicle. The individual grabbed her purse without dismounting from his vehicle and fled west towards Jerome Avenue.

The purse contained identification, around $524, and a debit card. The victim sustained a minor injury but did not require medical attention.
