Two Shot in Highway Driveby Shooting in Delaware

NEW CASTLE, DE – A shooting that led to a car crash is currently under investigation by Delaware State Police.

The incident occurred this Sunday afternoon on State Route 141 near Interstate 95.

Upon arrival, police found a black Ford Fusion with heavy damage and a 19-year-old male passenger suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

The Fusion was driven by an 18-year-old woman from New Castle, Delaware. The car was reportedly struck by gunfire emanating from an unknown red sports car. The suspect fled the scene, and the Fusion crashed into a guardrail.

Both the 18-year-old driver and 19-year-old passenger were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Bullet casings were recovered from the area, although no suspect information is currently available.
