Carjack Victim Suffers Fractured Legs in Attack in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY – A local 34-year-old man sustained serious injuries when his unattended, running vehicle was stolen on Liberty Avenue last Friday.

The victim left his 2015 Toyota Camry idling in front of 1219 Liberty Avenue at around 2:35 p.m. As he approached his car, an unidentified individual pushed him and took off in the vehicle. In the process, the assailant struck the man, causing fractures in both legs.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

The stolen Camry was discovered parked and unoccupied within the confines of the 113 Precinct on the following Friday.
