Man Arrested for Pulling Handgun at Traffic Light

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has arrested Sean Bennett, 30, of Chester, PA, for pulling a handgun on a driver at a city intersection.

Officer Trevor Brenner received a citizen report on August 27 at 1:24 AM about a man wielding a handgun at the traffic light at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. Acting on this information, Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos located Bennett in the 1600 block of Pacific Avenue.

Bennett refused to comply with police commands. In an ensuing altercation, Bennett shoved Officer Nunez-Santos and attempted to flee. Officers Jesse Oliver-Logan, Jennifer Sanchez, and Tyke White assisted in subduing and arresting Bennett.

Upon arrest, police found Bennett in possession of a loaded handgun, a knife, ecstasy, and synthetic K2.

Bennett faces charges of aggravated assault, aggravated assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon (two counts), possession of hollow-point ammunition, and possession of CDS.
