Two Men Charged with Possession of Illegal Firearms in Queens

QUEENS, NY – Christopher Lall and Steve Salamalay have been charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, following search warrants executed at their residences, storage units, and workplaces.

The search was carried out on August 23 by officers from the New York Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit and Major Case Field Intelligence Team.

Among the items recovered were a dozen illegal firearms, including ghost guns, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, and gun manufacturing tools.

Lall and Salamalay are scheduled to return to court on September 19.

Neither holds a license to possess or own firearms in New York City. If convicted, both face up to 15 years in prison.
