WASHINGTON, D.C. – In another bizarre moment at the microphone, U.S. President Joe Biden bragged to the American people that under his administration, unemployment is below 14%.

While 14% unemployment is the level of unemployment not seen since the Great Depression and the COVID-19 pandemic, oddly enough the rate in America is 3.7% today.

That is just under 4%, not 14% as Biden suggested during his press conference.

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (3.7 percent), Whites (3.4
percent), and Asians (3.1 percent) rose in August. The jobless rates for adult women (3.2 percent),
teenagers (12.2 percent), Blacks (5.3 percent), and Hispanics (4.9 percent) showed little change over the
month.
