NYPD Arrests Suspect in Deadly April Shooting of Florida Man

New York, NY – A 31-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday and charged in relation to the shooting death of a 23-year-old male in April.

Christopher King, a resident of 82 Sussex Road, Elmont, NY, was charged with murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.

The arrest comes nearly five months after police responded to a 911 call in the early morning hours of April 8. Officers arrived at the intersection of Selover Road and Merrick Boulevard to find Jevaughn Jeminson, of North Lauderdale, FL, unconscious and unresponsive.

Jeminson had suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and was later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
