Troopers Make DWI Arrest After Tailing Suspicious Vehicle

MILTON, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 38-year-old Matthew Gray of Ellendale on Thursday evening for felony DUI.

At approximately 11:36 p.m., a trooper observed a tan Chevrolet Tahoe failing to use its turn signal on Route 1 northbound. The vehicle also crossed the white fog line multiple times.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the trooper identified the operator as Matthew Gray. Signs of impairment were observed, and an odor of alcoholic beverages was detected.

Gray refused to complete field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. A computer check revealed that Gray had two prior DUI-related convictions.

Gray was charged with 3rd Offense DUI, a felony, along with other traffic offenses. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on his own recognizance.
