Box Cutter Used in Cell Phone Robbery Near Central Park

NEW YORK CITY, NY – An unknown individual brandished a box cutter to forcibly take a cell phone from a 28-year-old female near Central Park West near the American Museum of Natural History.

The event occurred on Saturday, September 2, at approximately 5:38 AM in the vicinity of Central Park West and West 81 Street. After displaying the box cutter, the individual took the victim’s cell phone and fled into Central Park. The victim remained uninjured.
