Back to Work: North Jersey Traffic Report for Tuesday Morning

As schools return to session across New Jersey and workers return to work after a long holiday weekend, traffic on the roads is already getting ugly by 8 am.

As of 6:48am, delays and an earlier incident on I-80 eastbound between Exit 26 and Exit 30 cause a 10-15 minute delay. All lanes are open.

At 8:01am, Garden State Parkway southbound experiences delays from Exit 149 to Exit 147. The delay spans 2 miles due to volume.

By 7:58am, both the lower and upper levels of the George Washington Bridge eastbound in Fort Lee have delays. The travel times are 30 minutes and 35 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge respectively. All lanes are open.

At 7:55am and 7:40am, delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from Exit 147 to Exit 151 and on US 1&9 northbound in Fort Lee cause 4-mile and 5-10 minute delays respectively.

Holland Tunnel and Lincoln Tunnel eastbound also experience delays as of 7:58am and 7:52am, with travel times of 30 minutes and 20-35 minutes respectively from various Turnpike exits. All lanes are open.

Multiple areas including Pulaski Skyway, NJ 21, and NJ 139 report traffic congestion or heavy traffic as of 7:40am, with travel times ranging from less than 5 minutes to 10 minutes.

Delays are also reported on the New Jersey Turnpike, both Eastern Spur and I-95 lanes, as of 7:39am and 7:02am due to delays on other roads, including the George Washington Bridge.

Minor delays of less than 5 minutes are prevalent on various other routes such as I-280, NJ 17, NJ 4, and NJ 208 as of times ranging from 7:18am to 7:25am.
