Two Men Sought for Knifepoint Robbery in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is requesting public assistance in identifying individuals wanted for questioning regarding an August 29 robbery.

The incident occurred at 8:29 p.m. in the 400 block of Springfield Avenue. The victim was leaving a Wendy’s when he was approached by two male suspects armed with knives. They demanded his personal belongings, including food, cellphone, and $4.

Suspect #1 is described as 5’6″ with a slim build, wearing a dark-colored sweater with a hood, light-colored jeans, and light-colored shoes. Suspect #2 is also described as 5’6″ with a slim build, wearing a light-colored sweater with a hood, dark-colored sweatpants, and light-colored shoes.
