Bodega Employee Put in Chokehold, Robbed on $700

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, unknown individuals entered a bodega at 3569 East Tremont Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. The suspects placed a 29-year-old store employee in a chokehold and took roughly $700 before leaving the scene on foot.

The incident happened in the Bronx.

The New York City Police Department is now requesting public assistance to identify suspects in connection to the bodega robbery

The employee declined medical treatment.

Police have attached media to aid in identification and encourage anyone with information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
