City Employed Lawyer Arrested for DWI, Hit and Run

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Philip Simonelli, a 29-year-old Assistant Corporation Counsel, was arrested on Tuesday, at 2:20 am.

The New York City Police Department charged him with driving while ability impaired by alcohol.

He was also charged with refusal to take a breath test, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, and failing to obey a traffic signal.

Simonelli was also charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting.

The arrest and charges are part of an ongoing investigation.
