Police Hoping Tattoos Can Help Identify Man Found Dead in Potomac

FORT WASHINGTON, MD – A deceased man was discovered along the shoreline of the Potomac River in the 8200 block of Waterside Court on August 30 at approximately 3:15 pm, prompting a call from Prince George’s County Police Department for public assistance in identifying him.

Investigators are actively seeking any information that can help identify the man so that his family can be notified. Currently, there is no suspicion of foul play in relation to the man’s death.

The body is preliminarily believed to be that of a white male. Distinctive tattoos on his left chest and below the navel are considered key identifying features. Authorities have released images of the tattoos to aid in identification.

Anyone with information that could aid investigators is urged to contact the Prince George’s County Police Department.
