Boil Water Advisory Issued in Borough of Fair Lawn

FAIR LAWN, NJ – The Borough of Fair Lawn announced that a water main break occurred on Friday, at the intersection of Plaza Rd and Berdan Avenue. The incident led to a significant loss of water pressure for 15 minutes.

The water main break has been isolated, and the system has been restored to full pressure. Repairs are underway, and as a precaution, a Boil Water Advisory has been issued.

Residents are advised to boil tap water for one minute before use or to use bottled water for various activities including drinking and cooking.

Additional precautionary measures have been recommended, such as not using home filtering devices in place of boiling or using bottled water.

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice from the Borough of Fair Lawn.
