Newark Public Safety Director Seeks Help Identifying Theft Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a catalytic converter.

The incident occurred on August 30, at approximately 10:15 a.m. on the 100 block of Kerrigan Blvd.

The suspect, described as a black male with a dark complexion, was captured on surveillance video.

He was seen wearing a black mechanic’s jumpsuit and a black dreadlock stocking cap.
