Police Continue Investigating Deadly Minnesota Avenue Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives are investigating a homicide that took place on September 6 at the intersection of 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch.

Sixth District officers responded to the location at approximately 3:29 a.m. for reports of gunshots and a vehicle collision. They found an adult male shooting victim inside a vehicle. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. On September 8, the victim died from his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Brandon Gant of Southeast, DC.
