72-Year-Old Woman Attacked At Yankee Stadium Station

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to an assault incident.

On Thursday, at around 7:15 pm, a 72-year-old woman was attacked while exiting the elevator at the River Avenue and East 161 Street subway station.

The victim was struck multiple times in the face by an unidentified woman, resulting in bruising, swelling, and a minor laceration under her eye. She was later taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition. The assailant fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a female with a dark complexion, aged between 35 and 40, 5’6″ tall, and weighing 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, tan pants, black sandals, and a black head cover, carrying a black book bag.

The New York City Police Department is actively investigating this case.
