Good Samaritan Saves Woman During Attack At Hoyte Lake

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department is seeking information regarding an incident that occurred this past Tuesday night at around 8 pm in Delaware Park at Hoyt Lake.

A female victim reported that while walking near Hoyt Lake, a male riding a black and silver mountain bike grabbed her by the back of her neck.

The suspect attempted to sexually assault her but fled when another man approached after hearing the victim’s screams for help.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, with medium skin color, curly hair, thin build, 5ft 9in tall, and weighing about 160 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with white writing and dark pants. Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia stated that patrols have been increased in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the Confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847-2255.
