Multiple Gunshot Wounds And Car Crash Leave Man Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Local authorities are on the hunt for information after a Wednesday early morning shooting led to a death in Southeast D.C.

Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are actively investigating the case that originated near the intersection of 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:29 a.m. following reports of gunfire and a car crash. Upon arrival, an adult male victim, later identified as 23-year-old Brandon Gant, was found inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Gant was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but ultimately passed away on Friday due to the severity of his injuries.
