Delaware State Police Investigate Murder in Laurel Double Shooting

LAUREL, DE – On Sunday night, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit began investigating a fatal shooting in Laurel.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., the Laurel Police Department responded to a reported shooting on West Sixth Street. Officers found a 26-year-old female from Laurel dead at the scene inside a vehicle. A second victim, a 41-year-old man from Millsboro, was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to preliminary findings, an unidentified suspect or suspects fired multiple shots into a vehicle occupied by the two victims and a third person.

The incident occurred at the entrance to Little Creek Apartments. The victims then drove to West Sixth Street, where they were found by the Laurel Police Department.
