Gallagher’s All-Around Performance Lifts Middletown South Over Wall

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Colin Gallagher put on a stellar all-around performance to lead Middletown South to a 35-29 victory over Wall on Friday night, improving their season record to 2-1.

Middletown South quarterback Jake Czwakiel completed 4 of 8 passes for a total of 24 yards. Colin Gallagher dominated both sides of the ball with 128 rushing yards, 11 receiving yards, a sack, and 12 tackles. Owen Richter contributed with an interception.

Wall now stands at 1-2 for the season. Their offense was unable to record any statistics in passing, rushing, or receiving.

Both teams remained scoreless through three quarters, but the fourth quarter saw a flurry of action leading to the final score. Colin Gallagher scored two rushing touchdowns, and Jesse Burbank and Brendan Sliva added one each for Middletown South.

Despite the strong performance, the Middletown South Eagles had to hold off a late surge from the Wall Knights to secure the win. The victory bolsters Middletown South’s standing in the Shore Conference, while Wall will look to bounce back in upcoming games.
