Golf Outing Leads to $51,000 Jackpot Win in New Lexington

Lottery Scratch Off Tickets

NEW LEXINGTON, OH – Cooper Winders turned a golf day into a windfall by winning the EZPLAY Going Pro Progressive Jackpot, taking home $51,635.

After the application of mandatory state and federal taxes, totaling 28 percent, Winders will receive $37,177.20.

Winders said he decided to try his luck at Going Pro after completing a round of golf with friends at Nash Golf Enterprises. He urged a friend to buy a ticket first, before purchasing one for himself.

He was unaware of the jackpot amount until he scanned his ticket with the Ohio Lottery mobile app. Upon realizing he had won, Winders said he almost fell to the floor in surprise.

Winders celebrated his good fortune by buying a round for everyone at the clubhouse. He plans to invest his winnings, with a goal of using them to build or buy a house in the future.
