Suspects Use Stolen Pickup Truck in Failed ATM Robbery

NEWARK, DE – Early in the morning on September 8, state troopers responded to an attempted theft at a Chase Bank ATM. Three unknown suspects used a stolen white Ford F-250 to dislodge the ATM and drag it across the parking lot.

Failing to open the safe inside the ATM, the suspects fled the scene on foot.

The investigation revealed that the white Ford F-250 had been stolen from a residence under the jurisdiction of the New Castle County Police Department.

During their search, troopers found another stolen green Ford F-250 in the same neighborhood, linking it to the attempted theft.

No suspects have been identified, and surveillance materials are not yet available.
