Police Searching for “Armed and Dangerous” Fugitive Wanted for Stabbing

WILDWOOD, NJ – Wildwood Police responded to a stabbing at 100 West Poplar Avenue on Sunday evening, finding the female victim two blocks away with multiple puncture wounds to her upper body. The woman was rushed to Atlantic City Medical Center due to the severity of her injuries.

Initial information led police to believe a suspect was barricaded in Apt 1A at the crime scene. The Cape May County Regional S.W.A.T. Team established a perimeter while crisis negotiators were called to the scene. The individual inside the apartment was ultimately deemed a witness and detained for questioning.

Wildwood Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence, collecting DNA evidence for analysis.

Authorities identified the suspect as 43-year-old Terrance Dore of Wildwood, NJ, who remains at large. Dore is considered armed and dangerous and is suspected to have a significant eye injury.

Charges against Dore include 1st-degree attempted murder, 3rd-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and 4th-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Dore is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
