Police Seek Suspect Who Knocked Out Woman Before Stealing Her Purse

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals connected to a robbery that occurred on Monday, August 21.

The incident took place around 4:23 a.m. near Northern Boulevard and 84th Street.

The 54-year-old female victim was walking with her husband when they were engaged in a dispute with two unknown males. The individuals assaulted the victim, causing her to lose consciousness, and stole her purse containing $350.

The first individual is described as a male with a light complexion and a slim build, last seen wearing a black shirt and dark-colored pants. The second individual is described as a male with a light complexion and a heavy build, also last seen wearing a black shirt and dark-colored pants.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
