Staten Island Man Arrested for March Murder

STATEN ISLAND, NY – A 25-year-old Staten Island man, Daniel Battaforyen, was arrested and charged on September 13 in relation to a March 25 homicide.

The incident took place at 225 Park Hill Avenue within the 120 Precinct. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:52 p.m., discovering a 26-year-old male, later identified as Quamane Rogers, with a gunshot wound to the face. Rogers was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

Battaforyen, of 19 Noah Court, has been charged with murder, manslaughter, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, and criminal possession of a firearm. The arrest comes after a prolonged investigation by the NYPD.

The case is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
