Student Arrested After Posing with Gun Inside High School

LANCASTER, PA – On Tuesday at around 9:00 am, Lancaster City Police School Resource Officers were alerted to a student who had posed with a handgun in a photograph sent to other students.

The photo was taken in a restroom at McCaskey East High School, located at 1051 Lehigh Ave. A coordinated investigation led to the recovery of the firearm and multiple arrests.

The police report indicates that officers became aware of the photo at 10:45 am. No additional safety concerns regarding this incident have been reported. The situation was resolved without harm to students, staff, or officers.

The Lancaster City Police Department is responsible for the safety of McCaskey East High School. They are currently handling the investigation into this incident.
