Update: Escaped Convicted Killer Danelo Cavalcante Captured

HARRISBURG, PA – Danelo Cavalcante, an escaped convicted killer, has been captured, announced Attorney General Michelle Henry.

Cavalcante will be transported to a State Correctional Institution for the foreseeable future.

He is expected to be arraigned on a felony escape charge, filed on August 31. The Office of Attorney General will oversee the investigation and prosecution regarding Cavalcante’s escape from Chester County Prison.

Given that Cavalcante is already serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole, the aim is for him to remain in custody.

The next court date concerning the escape charge will be a preliminary hearing. The Office of Attorney General will keep the public informed about court proceedings as appropriate.
