Woman Arrested in Connection to Overdose-Related Homicide in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – A 32-year-old woman, Rebecca Auborn, faces multiple charges including murder, following a January overdose that resulted in a 30-year-old man’s death.

On January 15, police responded to an overdose report at the 2900 block of Azelda Ave. The victim, identified as Joseph Crumpler, was found in critical condition and later pronounced dead at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Homicide Unit detectives interviewed Auborn, who confessed to supplying Crumpler with the lethal narcotics and robbing him while he was incapacitated. Charges against her include murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, and corrupting another with drugs.
