Allentown Beats Robbinsville 41 19

ALLENTOWN, NJ – Allentown High School sailed to a 41-19 win over Robbinsville High School, thanks to an impressive display of offense in a West Jersey Football League game.

Allentown, improving to a 2-2 overall record and a 2-1 in WJFL play, saw a standout performance from quarterback Luke Wiedau, who passed for 260 yards. On the other side, Robbinsville drops to a 1-3 season and 1-1 conference record. Their quarterback, Jake Hanuscin, managed only one passing yard during the game.

In the opening quarter, Kevin Cunningham of Allentown scored the first touchdown with a 5-yard pass from Wiedau. Robbinsville’s Christopher Naperkoski answered in the second quarter with an 11-yard pass from Hanuscin, but the extra point was unsuccessful. Allentown widened their lead with two more touchdowns, a 58-yard pass to Matthew Woode and a 1-yard run by Daniel Cruz.

The third quarter saw both teams add to their totals. Nicholas Colella caught an 11-yard pass from Wiedau for Allentown, while William Raftery of Robbinsville scored with a 20-yard pass from Hanuscin. Sean McCaffery, contributing 56 rushing yards for Allentown, also found the endzone with a 50-yard run.

In the final quarter, Anthony Visconti caught a 14-yard pass from Wiedau to increase Allentown’s lead, and Alex Giordano of Robbinsville scored a 20-yard pass from Hanuscin as a last effort.
