Fairview Police Arrest Gunman in September 3rd Shooting

FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP, PA – The Fairview Township Police Department arrested 28-year-old Alexander Arroyo-Vargas of Harrisburg following a shots-fired incident.

The event took place in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Court, New Cumberland, on September 3, at 5:54 a.m.

Officers responded to the scene and learned that Arroyo-Vargas had a verbal altercation with a resident known to him. The argument escalated, and Arroyo-Vargas fired multiple rounds at the resident before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

No one was injured during the altercation. Later that day, officers located Arroyo-Vargas and arrested him. During an interview, he admitted to being involved in the incident and firing his pistol.

Arroyo-Vargas now faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
