Gov. Livingston Shuts Out J.P. Stevens in 34-0 Victory

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Gov. Livingston High School routed J.P. Stevens High School 34-0, marking a win for their Big Central conference record and leaving J.P. Stevens still seeking their first win of the season.

In a game that saw Gov. Livingston improve to a 3-1 season and conference record, J.P. Stevens fell to 0-4 in both. The first quarter remained scoreless, but Gov. Livingston seized control in the second quarter and never looked back.

Jack Dally opened up the scoring for Gov. Livingston with a 5-yard run, followed by two touchdown passes from quarterback Lucciano Santamaria to Matthew Shaffer. The first pass was for 31 yards and the second for 46 yards, making it a 20-0 lead at halftime.

Gov. Livingston continued to dominate in the second half. In the third quarter, Dally extended the lead with a 1-yard run. The fourth quarter saw Grant Young join the action, scoring a 1-yard run to solidify the 34-0 win.

Kicker Mason Barker was largely successful, converting four out of five kicks for Gov. Livingston.
