Woman Attacked and Robbed by Teens Inside East 149th Street Train Station

BRONX, NY – A 42-year-old woman was assaulted on the northbound platform of the Grand Concourse and East 149 Street subway station by two unidentified individuals following a verbal altercation.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 13, at approximately 2:40 p.m. The female victim was waiting for the 2/5 train when she was bumped into by an unidentified female. A verbal dispute broke out, and the female, along with an unidentified male, attacked the victim. The female assailant used a cellphone to strike the victim multiple times in the face, causing pain, swelling, and bruising. Both attackers fled the scene on foot. The victim declined medical attention at the site.

The first suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, aged between 14 to 16, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a red book bag. The second suspect is described as a female with a medium complexion, aged between 30 to 35, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black tight shorts.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
