Cumberland Man Charged for September 11 Hit and Run

CUMBERLAND, MD – A criminal summons has been served on Jared Ian Robertson, 43, by the Cumberland Police Department for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident on Greene Street at S. Johnson Street.

On September 11, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:17 PM to the aforementioned location. A victim reported being struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter, which resulted in him falling off. The vehicle in question left the scene. After an investigation, officers identified the suspect as Jared Robertson.

The charges were officially filed at the District Court of Allegany County. Robertson has been released pending trial after signing for his copy of the summons.
