Man Indicted for Shoving Woman onto Subway Tracks in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, NY – Samuel Junker, 41, has been recently indicted for allegedly pushing a 34-year-old woman onto the subway tracks at the Chambers Street station.

The incident occurred on August 29, at approximately 11 p.m. The woman suffered a broken leg, bruising, and swelling as a result of the attack.

Junker was arrested on August 31, in Lower Manhattan after an officer recognized him from a wanted flyer. He was wearing the same clothes as he had been during the incident.

He now faces charges of Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution. Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact the NYPD.
