Virginia Police Seek Info on Fugitive Murder Suspects

HENRICO, VA – Deontae Marquel Winston, 33, and Katoya Brown, 35, both of Crewe, Virginia, face charges connected to a deadly shooting on September 5 on W. Broad Street. Henrico Police now seek public input on any previous interactions with the suspects.

The shooting took place in the 11100 block of W. Broad Street, outside a local business. The initial investigation indicates that an argument between the victim and the suspects escalated, resulting in the shooting.

Detectives suspect that over recent months, both Winston and Brown have frequented parking lots of popular shopping areas throughout the metro-region. Witnesses have reported the duo’s behavior as harassing.

Henrico Police urge anyone who may have witnessed Winston and Brown exhibiting such behavior to contact Det. Lozak at (804) 501-5588.
