NEW ROCHELLE, NY – A deceased female in her 20s was discovered in a third-floor apartment on Franklin Ave, leading to the arrest of a suspect found in an Elmsford hotel.
Detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to the report on Friday, September 15th. A person of interest was quickly located in a hotel in Elmsford, NY, and taken into custody without incident. The individual, Kenya M. Tilford, 40, of New Rochelle,, was later charged in connection to the death of the victim.
While the identity of the deceased is still under investigation, it is believed she may have been a roommate of Tilford. New Rochelle Detectives are coordinating with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Medical Examiner to confirm the identity of the deceased.
