Buffalo Man Arrested for Tuesday Morning Murder

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department announced an arrest made on Tuesday, in connection with a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, September 12.

The incident took place around 1:50 a.m. on the 3100 block of Main Street. Officers from the Northwest district responded to a shooting call and found a victim, later identified as 28-year-old Thomas Davis of Buffalo, who was declared dead at the scene.

Michael Barnes, a 36-year-old Buffalo resident, has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree, a class A-I felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony.

Homicide detectives identified Barnes as the suspect following an immediate investigation.
