65-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in Harlem

MANHATTAN, NY – A 65-year-old man was shot and later pronounced dead in Harlem Wednesday morning, sparking an ongoing police investigation.

On Wednesday at approximately 11:19 a.m., authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at West 142 Street and Lenox Avenue. The victim, identified as Anthony Williams of 629 Lenox Avenue, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was immediately transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition.

Williams was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
