Newark Police Warn Public About Sexual Assault Suspect on the Loose

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a male suspect involved in a sexual assault incident that occurred on August 30 who is still at large.

. The assault took place at around 12:09 a.m. at the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Dock Street.

The victim reported that she initially agreed to party with the man but changed her mind. The suspect subsequently grabbed her, threw her to the ground, and forced her into sexual acts. The suspect is described as being between 6 ft. and 6’4″ tall, weighing approximately 240 to 260 pounds, with a light brown complexion, short afro, and facial hair. He was last seen wearing dark shorts, a dark short-sleeve shirt, and dark sneakers with white soles. He was also carrying a royal blue gym bag and a light blue or gray backpack.
