Police Charge Man For Stealing City Worker’s Weed Trimmer

CUMBERLAND, MD – Robert Kyle Miller, 51, has been served a Criminal Summons for theft ranging from $100.00 to $1,500.00. The summons is related to an incident on September 7 when a Stihl weed trimmer owned by the city was stolen.

Cumberland Police were dispatched to the Cumberland City Maintenance Office following the report of the theft, which occurred while city workers were performing maintenance at George Washington Headquarters. A subsequent investigation identified Miller as the suspect, based on a witness’s account.

The stolen weed trimmer was found the next day on Lafayette Avenue. As city employees recovered the item, they observed Miller walking away from the area. Miller now faces charges for theft.
