UTICA, NY – A domestic incident led Utica Police to discover a deceased female in a Devereux Street apartment on September 21, resulting in the immediate arrest of a male suspect.
At approximately 3:05PM, Utica Police and Fire units were dispatched to 7 Devereux St for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers engaged with a male inside the apartment. Entering the apartment, officers found a female who appeared to be deceased in a bedroom.
The male was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Utica Police Department for further questioning.
At this time, the suspect’s identity was not released.
The case is currently being classified as a homicide, and the Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
