Bicycle Bandits Targeting Victims in Williamsburg

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking information on two individuals connected to a series of thefts targeting cyclists in Williamsburg. Three incidents have been reported in September.

In the first incident, on Friday, September 8, at around 9:15 pm, a 56-year-old woman had her bag stolen from her bicycle’s front basket at South 5 Street and Bedford Avenue.

The second incident occurred on Sunday, September 17, at approximately 1:30 pm, where a 29-year-old woman was targeted but the thief was unsuccessful.

The third incident took place on last Wednesday, at around 8:40 pm, where a 57-year-old woman’s bag containing valuables was stolen.

Descriptions of the suspects have been provided, with both being males, aged 20 to 30, with light complexions and slim builds. The public is asked to review the attached media and provide any relevant information.
